Neutral no More; add depth to your home with color and pattern

Adding color and pattern into home design can instantly bring vibrancy and impact into any room. Incorporating bright hues and playful patterns can add dimension and interest to a space, making it more visually appealing and stimulating.  It can also be a challenge to find the right balance between boldness and harmony. Whether you're painting an accent wall or adding a statement piece of furniture, incorporating color and pattern can give your space a playful twist but be sure to strike a balance to create a visually pleasing environment.

It’s all in our Heads

Choosing the right colors for your environment can greatly influence your state of mind. Calm and soft tones are often associated with feelings of relaxation and peace, while bold and bright shades tend to boost energy levels and excitement. Imagine walking into a serene bedroom filled with light blues and greens; you instantly feel relaxed and at ease.

When designing a space, it's important to consider the compatibility of the types of patterns and colors with the type of feeling you would like in the environment. A colorful and energizing mud room looks different than a relaxing spa-like bath. But again, harmony and balance are important as you don’t want your rooms to look too disjointed. If your selections clash it can be too stimulating for the brain.
