A South-Minneapolis Bungalow Transformation.

Lynnhurst

When these homeowners approached us, they had the creative desire to transform their home's most hated hallway/landing area into something delightful and, ideally, more useful. They had affectionately (begrudgingly) titled the hallway “7 corners” because it actually connected seven different rooms and areas of the house through seven doorways that all converged at the bottom of the stairwell. 7-corners was by far the most heavily trafficked area of the home, and yet felt like a waste of space providing very little function to the home.

As we developed possible improvements to the space, they were open to considering removing several walls as an intermediate step before they were ready to bite off the larger kitchen reno down the line. With a custom privacy screen to conceal the fridge and allow light to pass through, and a playful touch of wallpaper by House of Hackney, we love the finished result!
