We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless communication, efficient scheduling, and client satisfaction throughout the process.

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Edina, MN

Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open and clear communication channels throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.

    • Provide regular project updates to clients, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals and timelines.

  • Scheduling:

    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating all necessary tasks, milestones, payments, and deadlines.

    • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.

  • Lead Time and Procurement Management:

    • Strategically manage lead times for materials and resources, collaborating closely with vendors and suppliers to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.

    • Assist with purchase orders, bid requests, and procurement of materials and finishes; negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the project while adhering to budgetary constraints.

    • Manage procurement and lead time for materials and resources required for project execution.

    • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to expedite deliveries and maintain project timelines.

    • Continuously monitor supply chain dynamics and proactively address any potential disruptions to minimize project impact.

  • Client Portal Management:

    • Implement and manage our client portal and project management system, JobTread, to facilitate seamless communication and document sharing between clients and project stakeholders.

    • Ensure the client portal is up-to-date with relevant project information, documents, and progress reports.

    • Train clients on how to effectively utilize the portal for accessing project updates, submitting feedback, and tracking project milestones.

  • Project Leadership and Coordination:

    • Work with design team and field managers to coordinate and communicate all detailed aspects of the project, including design development, construction planning, and onsite coordination.

    • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule constraints.

    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

    • Conduct thorough project reviews and post-mortems to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, driving continuous enhancement of project management processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the design/build or construction industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and external partners.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management software/tools (e.g., JobTread, BuilderTrend, Procore) and an Apple/iCloud ecosystem.

  • Knowledge of architectural and construction processes, codes, and regulations.

  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
